About the Job
Dermatology & Aesthetic Practice – Santa Monica, CA

Are you passionate about skincare, aesthetics, and helping people feel confident — but ready for a role that goes beyond performing facials?
We are looking for a warm, energetic, polished, and ethical Cosmetic Treatment Consultant to join our physician-led dermatology and aesthetic practice.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who may have a background as an aesthetician, medical aesthetician, beauty advisor, cosmetic sales professional, med spa coordinator, or luxury skincare consultant and has discovered that what they really love is talking with patients, educating them, building relationships, and helping them choose the right treatments.

You will not be hired to perform facials. Instead, you will become an important part of the patient journey — helping patients understand their concerns, learn about available cosmetic treatments, feel comfortable with their options, and confidently move forward with treatment when appropriate.

What You’ll Do:
You will work closely with our physicians and clinical team to help cosmetic patients navigate treatments such as:
  • Laser treatments.
  • Skin tightening and collagen stimulation.
  • Botox and other neuromodulators.
  • Dermal fillers.
  • PRP and hair restoration.
  • Acne scar treatments.
  • Pigmentation and redness treatments.
  • Body contouring.
  • Pelvic floor treatments.
  • Cosmetic treatment packages and memberships.
  • Physician-dispensed skincare.
Your role will include:
  • Speaking with prospective cosmetic patients by phone, text, and in person.
  • Learning what concerns brought the patient to our practice.
  • Educating patients about treatment categories and what may be appropriate to discuss with the physician.
  • Explaining treatment expectations, pricing, packages, downtime, and the patient experience.
  • Following up with patients after consultations.
  • Helping patients move forward with treatment plans recommended by our physicians.
  • Building long-term relationships with patients.
  • Re-engaging patients who expressed interest but were not yet ready to schedule.
  • Educating patients about skincare and maintenance.
  • Introducing appropriate memberships, packages, and complementary treatments.
  • Creating an exceptional, high-touch patient experience from the first inquiry through treatment.

Who We Are Looking For:
  • The right person genuinely loves people and loves aesthetics.
  • You should be the person who naturally lights up when someone asks:
  • "What do you think I should do for my skin?"
  • You enjoy explaining treatments, answering questions, calming fears, and helping someone feel excited about taking care of themselves.

You are:
  • Bubbly, warm, and naturally engaging.
  • Comfortable starting conversations and building rapport quickly.
  • Passionate about skincare, beauty, dermatology, and cosmetic treatments.
  • Excited by sales and motivated by achieving goals.
  • Ethical and comfortable telling someone when a treatment may not be right for them.
  • A great listener who can uncover what a patient is actually concerned about.
  • Polished and professional.
  • Highly organized and dependable.
  • Comfortable following up consistently without being pushy.
  • Able to discuss pricing confidently.
  • Motivated by both excellent patient care and practice growth.
  • Someone who enjoys learning and wants to become extremely knowledgeable about cosmetic dermatology.

Sales Experience Is Important:  This is a consultative sales position, not simply a front-desk position.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in:
  • Luxury skincare.
  • Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s or beauty retail.
  • Med spas or plastic surgery practices.
  • Cosmetic dermatology.
  • Aesthetician or medical aesthetician roles.
  • Cosmetic treatment coordination.
  • Membership sales.
  • High-end hospitality.
  • Luxury retail.
  • Patient or client consultation.

You should enjoy sales — but believe that the best sales happen through education, trust, and helping people make good decisions. We never want patients pressured into unnecessary procedures. Your job is to help the right patient understand the right treatment and make it easy for them to move forward.

A Great Opportunity for an Aesthetician Who Wants a Different Career Path:
  • You may have gone to aesthetician school because you love skin and beauty but realized that performing facials all day isn't the career you want long term.
  • This role allows you to use your knowledge of skin and aesthetics in a completely different way.
  • Instead of being in the treatment room performing services, you can develop expertise in: Cosmetic dermatology + patient education + treatment planning + sales + patient relationship management.
  • For the right person, this can become a meaningful long-term career within the aesthetic medical industry.

Why This Role Is Different?
  • You will be working inside a physician-led dermatology and cosmetic practice, learning directly from experienced medical professionals.
  • You will gain exposure to advanced cosmetic technologies, lasers, injectables, regenerative treatments, skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and comprehensive treatment planning.
  • We are looking for someone who wants to become exceptionally knowledgeable — not simply memorize a sales script.
  • The goal is for you to eventually be able to have sophisticated conversations with patients about their concerns and guide them through the cosmetic treatment experience with confidence.

The Person Who Will Thrive Here:
You may be someone who:
  • Loves watching cosmetic treatment videos.
  • Knows far too much about skincare ingredients.
  • Gets excited when a new laser or aesthetic technology comes out.
  • Enjoys talking to people all day.
  • Remembers details about patients and builds genuine relationships.
  • Likes goals and loves the feeling of closing a sale.
  • But also has enough integrity to say:
  • "I don't think that's the right treatment for you — let's have the doctor evaluate you first."
  • If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you.

To Apply: Please send your resume along with a short note answering:

Why do you think you would be great at educating patients and helping them confidently move forward with cosmetic treatments?
We are looking for personality, enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine passion for the aesthetic industry — so please let that come through in your application.
